چکیده

Abstract Forging dies are crucial in forging to manufacture accurate workpieces. These generally made of AISI H steel series and hardened tempered medium carbon alloy steel. Dies processed by using high-speed milling + polishing or electrical discharge machining polishing. The surface quality the workpiece depends on properties these dies, where roughness, material hardness, wear evolution their surfaces critical aspects consider. This research analyzes different wire conditions combined with treatment describe influence friction wear. Wire defines disks’ finishing roughing conditions, varies time paper sand depending roughness. Abbott-Firestone curves R sk -R ku roughness parameters characterize each studied configuration. Room temperature pin-on-disk tests were performed analyze coefficients rate for 1045 pins H13 disks. On average, highest (0.284) lowest (0.201) found combination respectively. Scanning electron microscope images taken tracks pin degradation sliding abrasive configurations. diagram correlating morphology coefficient predicts damage initial which is industry determine tool maintenance replacement.

Nanoscale Abrasive Wear of CoCrMo in In Situ TEM Sliding

The mechanical behaviour of materials at nanometre dimensions has been a major recent topic of research. In this study, the wear properties of a *60-nm thin foil made of the ductile fcc phase of a CoCrMo alloy were examined using in situ sliding test in a transmission electron microscope by sliding a silicon AFM tip on the fcc matrix under an applied normal load of 416–1,279 nN. The material ne...

Superplasticity of Annealed H13 Steel

H13 steel is a widely used hot work die material. A new type of hot working method is imperative to develop complex and precise dies. In this paper, the heat treatment of H13 steel (AISI) was carried out by annealing, the final structure is a point or spherical pearlite, and the grain size is about 30-40 μm. The tensile properties of the annealed microstructure were investigated at 650, 750, an...
